Website Terms of Use
www.cpirls.com
Welcome to The Royal College of Chiropractors’ website for reporting and viewing chiropractic patient safety incidents (“CPiRLS”). By accessing or using this website (“the Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Purpose of the website
The Site provides a means for chiropractors to report/share any type of patient safety event, error, accident or deviation from the norm that either actually happened, nearly happened (‘near miss’) or has the potential to happen regardless of whether it is considered minor or major, results in significant patient harm or leads to a patient complaint. A ‘trigger list’ provides examples of incidents that should be reported. These reports enable chiropractors to learn from the collective experience and hence improve the safety of chiropractic care. This learning is further enhanced by comments provided on each report by a Royal College of Chiropractors CPiRLS Development Group which also publishes ‘Safer Practice Notices’ on the Site based on trends in incident reporting.
